Smartius advised the shareholders of Doublepoint in connection with ŌURA’s acquisition of Doublepoint. Founded in 2020, Doublepoint is a Helsinki-based technology company specializing in AI-driven biometric gesture recognition technology that enables users to control devices through natural hand movements. The acquisition supports ŌURA’s long-term innovation roadmap and strengthens its capabilities in developing intuitive, human-centered wearable technology and AI-led user experiences.
Through the acquisition, ŌURA gains Doublepoint’s team of AI architects and builders, including its four founders, further reinforcing ŌURA’s commitment to growing its operations and innovation capabilities in Finland. Doublepoint’s technology will support the development of next-generation interaction models across devices, services, and environments.
